At the May 6th Deacons Meeting there was a discussion of a letter received from the Salvation Army telling us that with the increase in food prices there were more people needing food but less food being provided.  They have asked us to help them.  Please take a look through your cupboards to see if you don’t have something to give to them.  We have a donation barrel in the hallway near the fellowship hall where you can drop off food and it will be delivered to the Salvation Army.  Also it was expressed that the clothes coming to the donation barrels is overwhelming and the people whom we give those clothes to have adequate clothing supplies at this time.  So we are asking that people no longer put clothes in the donation barrels until further notice.  Thank you for your generosity and help in these matters.
