Music Ministry

Praise Team

Praise music is part of our contemporary service, which is at 10:30. This is a ministry willing to receive what each member can provide, according to their time frame. We have a group of about eighteen individuals that are totally into praising God with their voices and their instruments. Sometimes the entire group is together, while other times members participate every other week. Some can only fit once a month into their schedules. Any person that is interested may come to a practice from 8:00-9:00 on Wednesday nights. Please contact me first so that I can prepare music as needed. This is a year-round ministry. It is our goal to lead the congregation in songs that will prepare their hearts to worship more fully.

Chancel Choir

This is a dedicated group of vocalists that join together in one accord, to sing to our Heavenly Father during the traditional service. We strive to share a wide variety of musical styles over the course of the season. Members are united in serving and harmonious in both song and spirit. Our season begins in the early Fall and ends in early July. We work on anthems for two to three weeks at a time, which allows members to occasionally miss a practice. Some individuals also enjoy offering to do a solo, duet, or small group presentation for special music. Their anthems speak volumes to the congregation of God's love, truth, strength, and grace. Every Wednesday, practices are from 6:45 to 7:45.

The Bell Choir

This ministry is lead by Gail Backman, on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00. Whether you are experienced with music or not, this could be just what you are looking for. Every member is more than willing to assist and help to break in new ringers. There are several practices to soundly prepare for the presentations, which are given at both services. If you have never given this a try, now is the time! There is always room for more people who want to serve.

Music Madness

This is singing that is open to children that are fifth grade and under. Their songs have fun motions to go along with the words. Sometimes they sing along with our Praise Team, while other times just a piano, or a C.D. Once a month they present a song to both services. Practices are held from 6:25 to 6:45 on Wednesday nights.

The Lord is my strength and my song!
