Worship Committee
In all of life we have transition times. At church we go from the nursery to Sunday School. After being in Sunday School for many years we move into Junior High and then High School groups. From High School we move on to being adults that make the decisions on where we go. I hope we, the church members, pray for those who grow up in our church. May they feel they can come even after that High School graduation. You may think that is a bad comment, but just think about it. That is the time when lots of good and bad decisions are made. People are testing the waters of life, doing many things they have always dreamed about or dreaded. We need to be the people who talk to these young adults and ask them to worship and other activities. We love them and sometimes take it for granted that they know it. Seeing them at activities makes us think we know them when we may never have talked to them. They have been around and we just expect that they will always want to be around.
I would ask you to pray for all your church members and tell them how much the Lord loves them. We all need spiritual sharing and enrichment in worship. The Lord has a message for us each time we commune with him at any time, anywhere. The special places called churches are our place to really hear the word spoken to us and shared among us. We now recognize our graduates from the 2008 graduating classes. Jump into celebration and kneel in thanksgiving and pray for each fragile and wonderful life that has been in our Sunday School program. What an honor to be part of there lives.
Thank You Lord, for our Church and all the People who attend, young and old. May the people all feel welcome no matter where there road of life is taking them. I hope our church wants to share the transitions. We can be a place of stability of principle grounded in your Word. Amen
